It was slightly patched by me to also show the author. The code is available here. It also works in 1.8.

BlogInclude

The original include. In my version the labels of pagename, heading, level must be specified. (Call with level=1 etc., order does not matter anymore.) I plan to add the following parameters:

FrameParser

Version of the Frame-Parser which runs in 1.8

Even if using the Frame parser is obsolet in 1.8 (compare ParserMarket/Frame), it was easier to adapt it than converting all my pages. For later usage it would be better to use something like this (taken from bottom of ParserMarket/Frame):

migration

Migrating moinmoin

Today I moved moinmoin 1.5 up to 1.8.4. I probably should have done it earlier. I got some great help on irc. Nevertheless, it was possible to do it in one day, which is pretty impressive, I think. I let myself mostly guide by RickVanderveer/UpgradingFromMoin15ToMoin16 and got quite some help on icq by ThomasWaldmann. Thanks! The basic steps were the following:

PageComment3

Contents

PageComment3

Documentation

Code

Comments/Test

PageComment3

I patched PageComment2 from Seungik Lee to include captchas (I actually use recaptcha). I got the impression when browsing the moinmoin pages that there is some controversity for supporting captchas (compare this link), so I added the support myself. Thanks to Seungik Lee for his great macro, which was easy enough to change. I got some feedback from Wenliang Lu to make it run under moinmoin 1.8. I will publish his version too.

wikidot2moinmoin

I have written a small converter from wikidot to moinmoin 1.5. I needed this, when I moved from wikidot to this wiki. It is not the very best (does not convert everything) but a good start. I release this under the MIT license. Download it here: wikidot2moinmoin.py Look at the code and modify the path variables in there to reflect your settings. Then run it and keep your fingers crossed! You need the Frame parser and the NewWindow macro installed to make the result work.
